20th June 2025 Hiking - Walking: Felixstowe Ferry Wind Direction: Wind Stength: light Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: Distance Covered: Friday 20th June - walk **** – Felixstowe Ferry including picnic on the beach with Maeva. – sunny periods and hot. It is now officially a heatwave here in Suffolk and I have a pic on BBC online to prove it, the second photo they have used of mine this week! Friday is our usual Maeva day despite the fact we have seen her a lot this week:) I have time to do my excercises in the sunny back garden before Mag drives round to pick the little honey up! Up have loads of fun in the back garden where Maeva soaks me in water and laughs like a drain, melts your heart:) I then pack the picnic and with Maeva tired we don’t want to go far so drive down to Felixstowe Ferry and she propty falls asleep but akes when we park behind the Martello Tower, she starts off in her buggy but when we reach the River Deben she insisted on walking to our picnic spot about a half mile! Today is fairly hazy with cloud and a light breeze blowing in off the sea so very pleasant again:) Our egg sandwiches are yummy with Maeva eating everything onc e more as we watch a few yachts pass and a collection of kayaks heading down the coast! I am then ordered to fill the picnic containers with water for more stone throwing and Maeva enjoys crawling up a sloping rock, getting braver and braver! After another brilliant time to head back to the van with Maeva in the buggy this time and she falls asleep on the drive home! Fun with books and jigsaw puzzles before we take her home to see Dan and Jays new bathroom which is now finished and it look absolutely stunning! Photo Album here |
